KENNWICK, Wash. -- A local weight loss company is closing its doors and they don't have much to say about it.
Come Friday, the Kennewick LA Weight Loss will close for the last time. Representatives say the business is just not making enough money to stay open.
But they say people involved in contracts will be reimbursed the money they are owed. But, Jessica Rizzo, a longtime LA Weight Loss customer says she feels like she was not given enough notice about the closure. She says she invested $2,000 in the company and is worried she won't get all her money back.
Rizzo says, "I came in this week for my usual thing and they said they were not doing this anymore. They said, 'We're closing, packing everything up, putting things in boxes.' And I was like, oh, nobody ever said anything."
Rizzo said all she would have expected is a written notice in advance. She says the company has told her she will get her money in 8 to 10 weeks.
