Yakima Man Hospitalized in Gang Related Shooting

YAKIMA, Wash - An afternoon argument escalates to a shooting, one victim is sent to the hospital.  Several witnesses say they saw the shooting that happened on the 400 block of East Walnut Street.  Yakima police have both men in custody who are allegedly responsible for the shooting

Investigators say 18-year-old Joselito Paz of Yakima and a 19 year old man got in an argument with 25-year-old Angel Rangel, also of Yakima.  Then just after noon Thursday, Paz shot Rangel , hitting him in the wrist and face.

The two suspects were soon arrested after neighbors gave descriptions and the direction the two were heading to police.  Witnesses say they could hear the men yelling and then the gun shots.

Rangel is at Yakima Regional Hospital in stable condition.  Both of the suspects have been booked into the Yakima County jail for attempted murder.

Police say the suspects and the victim are all known gang members.
