Central Washington State Fair goes green

YAKIMA, Wash - The Central Washington State Fair is going green, and adding 150 new recycling bins in an effort to reduce trash.

The light weight, portable bins have been donated to the fair by the Yakima County Department of Solid Waste.

Every year, between the hotdog's, sodas, funnel cake and cotton candy, the fair hauls off several tons of trash, much of which could be easily recycled

For the next ten days, visitors can drop aluminum cans and plastic bottles in the bins, and help the environment.
