KENNEWICK, Wash.--This afternoon, Kennewick police say they got a call from a person at the Crown Village apartments on Volland street.

The elderly man said he escaped from his apartment after two suspects forced their way inside.

Police say the man believed his home was being burglarized and said the men were carrying weapons. Police used caution and tried to contact the suspects who were believed to be inside.

When police got inside the apartment, they didn't find anyone.

"We're still investigating right now as to the validity of the claim, says Sgt. Trevor White. We have no evidence to suggest any wrongdoing has occurred."

As of now, police say there are no suspects and have no evidence that a crime actually occurred.
