YAKIMA, Wash. - A power pole caught fire in Yakima on Sunday afternoon and caused some problems for traffic.
Flames were seen near the 500 block of West Lincoln Avenue at noon. Citizens reported the fire to authorities.
The cause of the fire is still unknown. There was a lot of damage done to the transformers and the pole.
Pacific Power crews were on the scene for a few hours.
A number of traffic signals were shut off and traffic was backed up.
Police set up temporary four way stop signs.
Power was restored just after 5 pm Sunday night.
