Dave Bartush reportedly has a new boat.  Now the question is what's he going to do with it?

The owner of the U-13 Spirit of Detroit team has picked up the former Jim Harvey/Ron Brown built hull.  The hull most recently ran as the Miss Trendwest and had been in the possession of Ken Muscatel and Mike Eacrett.

The hull was built in 2003 and ran as the Trendwest with driver Terry Troxell.  J. Michael Kelly drove it in 2004-2005 as the Graham Trucking. Dr. Ken leased it from Harvey in 2006 and drove it as Superior Racing U-2.25.

The boat has some speed.  The consensus is there's a weight issue with the left front, though, a problem that's existed since it was built.

Now there are some decisions to be made.  The team could conceivably bring both the U-2 and U-13 hulls to race sites and run one as the primary and the other as the backup... or race whichever's best at each site... or just keep racing the U-13.
