PRESCOTT, Wash.--Jubilee Youth Ranch is an accredited school that has its own football team.
Their team name, the Warriors, is quite appropriate considering the adversity these kids overcome each day. So far this season, the Jubilee Youth Ranch warriors have played five games...all losses.
However, in talking with these kids and their coaches, they realize that winning takes a back seat. They are simply grateful for the chance to lace up their cleats and play the game.
"I think our boys are winning by being out here and getting the privilege to play football," says Math Teach-Football Coach, Kristopher Bland."
"It's really exciting to play with guys that want to play and we put our best effort out there," says Captain Alex Jacobs.
"They have responded to our call to be a team, to work together," says Teacher-Asst. Football Coach, Elias Concino."
"I've always wanted to play football and this year has been my first year and I'm really excited about playing football," mentions Captain Emanuel Bauer."
The warriors next opponent is Friday (October 5th) night. They'll play last year's state champs, Saint John-Endicott.
