Winnie-the-Pooh Statue Needs New Foundation

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.--At first, people thought the carved statue was possibly vandalized. However,  homeowners Bob and Jette Cluck say the tree trunk Pooh was standing on simply rotted.

Yesterday afternoon, the trunk gave way and Winnie-the-Pooh fell over. As you drive by the Cluck's home on Union street, you'll notice someone is missing. No longer in the spotlight, Pooh is now enjoying some shade..under the awning in the backyard.

Jette {yetta} Cluck says the statue has become a landmark in the community over the last eight years. She also adds hundreds of people have randomnly stopped by, asking if they can take pictures with the Pooh statue.
