Kennewick Football Player has Lacerated Kidney

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Senior football player Luke Loftus is home form the hospital and recovering from the lacerated kidney he suffered against Kamiakin. In the third quarter of Friday's game, Loftus suffered the injury. At the time, he didn't know the severity and actually stayed in and scored a touchdown. However, the pain got worse, so he eventually went to the hospital. Coach Billy Templeton says he won't need surgery, but he's most likely done playing for the year. Over the weekend, several teammates, along with players from Southridge and Kamiakin, visited Loftus in the hospital.
