SEATTLE (AP) - Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck says the players are shocked by the sudden end to the career of Mack Strong.

The 36-year-old fullback's 15-year career is over because of a neck injury.

Hasselbeck told KIRO Radio that Strong is a great leader and that when he spoke everyone listened.

The Seahawks also lost wide receiver Deion Branch in the shutout loss at Pittsburgh but he's expected back from a foot sprain after missing a couple of games.

Hasselbeck says the Seahawks are regrouping to play New Orleans this Sunday in Seattle.
