Former American Price Shines in N.H.L. Debut

PITTSBURGH, PA - Carey Price stopped 26 saves in his NHL debut and Tomas Plekanec and Andrei Markov each had a goal and an assist as Montreal skated past the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2. Mark Recchi had two assists and Ryan Whitney and Maxime Talbot each scored for Pittsburgh. Sidney Crosby had an assist on Whitney's goal. The Canadiens have earned at least a point in each of its three games this season.

The 20-year-old Price led Canada to the World Junior Championships last season and his debut was highly anticipated.  Price played for the Tri-City Americans for four years before joining up with the Hamilton Bulldogs earlier this summer.  Price helped lead the Bulldogs to a victory in this year's Calder Cup.
