Yakima, WA -  19-year-old Freddie Perales says it was just a prank, but the judge wasn't laughing.

Perales entered a guilty plea this afternoon.

He was hoping to get away with time served.  The two days the he spent behind bars when he was arrested back in july.  But the judge added another 18-days, plus more than 1500-dollars in court fees and fines.

Perales impersonated an officer and tried to pull over several girls for a DUI near Sunnyside.

"I am sorry," Perales told KNDO, "It won't happen again...  I didn't mean for it to turn out like this."

Perales says he knew the girls and never meant to scare them.

By entering a guilty plea.  He did avoid a felony conviction.

Perales was working in the Mabton Police Department's 'Exploration Program' at the time.

He hoped to become a cop one day, but he says that now it will never happen.
