KENNEWICK, Wash.--Three-year-old Cooper Larson has a large tumor growing in his brain stem. Doctors say it's inoperable.

His family and friends started the yard sale to help pay for Cooper's medical and living expenses. Clothes, furniture, even old toys were for sale today. The buying frenzy occurred behind Washington Hardware on Washington Street in Kennewick. Many of the items for sale were donated from local area businesses. A Larson family friend said she is overwhelmed by the communities support.

"It really has taken off and its amazing how much the community has opened up to this," says Anna Valdez. I never had any idea it was going to be like this. We just really thought it was going to be a little yard sale.

Cooper is currently undergoing radiation treatment in Spokane. If everything goes well, Cooper's family expects him to live another year. Cooper turns four-years-old on November 24th.
