NEAR WHITE PASS, Wash.- The wreckage from the Cessna Caravan 208 has been recovered from the mountainside where it crashed near White Pass. It took several trips for a helicopter to fly the remains of the plane off the mountain.
Investigators will examine the wreckage at a hangar in Seattle. The plane crashed in thick Timber Near the Goat Rocks Wilderness area on October 7th.
Nine skydivers and the pilot were returning from a weekend skydiving trip in Idaho. All ten were killed. Authorities plan to release a preliminary report on the crash soon, but say it will take months to determine what caused the crash.
