Monday October 15th marks the first National Latino AIDS Awareness Day.

The Department of Health is working on better educating Latinos on HIV Awareness through their slogan Wake up... Take control... Take the HIV test!

85% of Hispanics and Latinos living with HIV live in one of five Washington counties...Yakima, Franklin, King, Pierce or Snohomish.

National Latino Aids Awareness Day provides an opportunity for Hispanics and Latinos to get an HIV test and learn more about the disease and how to protect themselves from it.
