Two 72-Year-Old Men Robbed at Yakima Barbershop Saturday Afternoon
YAKIMA, Wash. - Saturday afternoon two 72-year-old men were robbed at a barbershop on the 400 block of North 20th Avenue in Yakima.
Yakima Police report that a Hispanic male in his 20's entered the Gent's Barbershop at 1:30pm and demand money. The suspect was armed with a large, black semi-automatic handgun.
Police report that he struck both victims in the head with the gun. They suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
The business was not open during the time of the robbery.
Police are looking for a Hispanic male, about six foot two, 190 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded pullover sweatshirt, blue bandana covering the lower part of his face and gray or light colored sweat pants.
Police said the suspect fled on foot, east on McKinley, and then got into a white BMW with an Arizona license plate that was parked on 18th Avenue. The suspect got into the front passenger side of the vehicle.
The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
