Yakima Murder Suspect Released, One Remains in Custody
YAKIMA, Wash. - Gang enforcement officers made two arrests in connection with the Robles murder investigation. 31-year-old Reuben Rojas and a 17-year-old boy were arrested at separate locations in the Yakima area at about 2:00am, Wednesday.
The teen boy remains in custody and faces first-degree murder charges. Rojas was released later on Wednesday after his alibi checked out.
Police responded to a report of shots fired Monday evening in the area of Cherry and Clarke avenues.
Officers believe that's where 26-year-old Esteban Robles was shot in the stomach. The man was found a little more than a block away on Roosevelt Avenue and later died at a local hospital.
