Agri-Tourism adds new wrinkle, The Pumpkin Chucker
Union Gap, WA - Agri-Tourism adds a new wrinkle... It's called the pumpkin chucker.
The farmers who own the corn mazes in Union Gap and Toppenish have added this new hit attraction to the mix.
Some local kids got to fire away today.
If you get one of these little pumpkins in the fruit bin, you get a free big pumpkin.
"Agri-tourism is definitely a good avenue to go down. My suggestion if you gonna to do it to try and do something new," says Richard Schell, one of the the co-owners of the Union Gap Corn Maze, "So people can get excited about something new."
Schell says they only open the corn mazes for several weeks a year, but it's become a big revenue stream for them.
