KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Your natural gas bill could soon be on its way down. The Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission says that Cascade Natural Gas, which is what most people use in the Tri-Cities and Yakima, will be cutting prices by 17% starting November 1st.
That cuts most people's natural gas bill by about $13. Washington Utilities Spokeswoman Marilyn Meehan says that price cuts are due to drops in wholesale natural gas prices.
She says the new prices should help a lot of people in Eastern Washington.
The Washington State Utilities and Transportation Commission says that this is the first such rate cut in five years. And they say, Cascade Natural Gas cutting its rates the most.
