Local Firefighters Driving to California for Fire Relief

ELLENSBURG, Wash - Three local firefighters are on the road, heading down to southern California to help with the wildland fires.

Joe Delvo, Dustin Mohan and Jack Piper of the Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue station in Ellensburg will be making the trip.

One brush fire truck is being driven down to help put out fires and protect buildings. They left Wednesday night around 8:30 and expect to be in Chino, California by late Thursday night.

It's possible they could be there for two weeks.

Fire crews from Wenatchee are also traveling with them.
