Fred Russell's Passenger Says They Weren't Drunk

KELSO, Wash. - Witnesses continue to testify in Kelso as Fred Russell's Vehicular Homicide case develops.

A passenger with Fred Russell when his car crashed testified that they weren't drunk at the time of the crash.

Jacob McFarland testified yesterday they had been drinking at a home and a bar, but did not have too much alcohol.

Another witness said half a gallon of vodka was consumed at the house party.

Russell is accused of killing three Washington State University students and injuring three others in the crash six years ago on the Pullman-Moscow Highway.

One of the victims was a student from Wapato. A Kennewick student was also injured.

Russell fled to Ireland and was on the U.S. Marshalls most wanted list before he was captured in 2005.
