State Patrol Busy With DUI Arrests Over Holiday Weekend
YAKIMA, Wash.- State patrol says drinking and driving was a major problem over the holiday weekend in the Yakima Valley and Columbia Basin.
Most recent numbers out from the Washington State Patrol show 23 DUI's were handed out since Friday. Twelve of them in the Yakima and Sunnyside areas and a total of eleven in Kennewick.
Troopers also tell us there were three car wrecks in Kennewick where drinking was involved. Right now state patrol is urging everyone to be safe and not drive if you drink on Halloween and this upcoming weekend.
There's already extra patrols out right now for the Click-it-or-Ticket campaign, but troopers say they're really keeping an extra eye out for drinking and driving. Call a cab or get a designated driver.
