SUNNYSIDE, Wash. -- Two teenagers were arrested this morning after a series of arson fires hit Sunnyside overnight. Police say the suspects, a 15-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, were using "Molotov cocktails" to start fires at the homes of rival gang members.
Sheriff's deputies spotted the suspects driving a suspicious vehicle and arrested them after a brief chase. Officers later determined that the vehicle was stolen.
The teens, who are known to have gang affiliations, are being held at the Yakima County Juvenile Detention Facility. The case is still under investigation by the Yakima County Sheriff's Office and the Sunnyside Police. They are asking anyone with information to give them a call.
