Giving Back to Volunteers at the RSVP Recognition Breakfast

RICHLAND, Wash. - Being recognized this morning is 1,600 volunteers that are 55 or older in the Retired and Senior Volunteer Breakfast who have volunteer throughout the community during for the past year.

These people provide volunteer service to over 225 different non-profit organizations.  Volunteer services say one hour of volunteer service is valued at $18.77.  The value of services given by volunteer services, if you total all the hours from October of last year to October 2007 is over 3 million dollars.  

The RSVP recognition breakfast, is at the Shilo Inn in Richland Wednesday October 31st. Doors open at 7:00 a.m. and the breakfast starts at 8:00 A.M.

People attending the breakfast did have to RSVP before coming to the RSVP breakfast.
