New Costco Opens Doors in Union Gap

UNION GAP -- After months of anticipation the new Costco opened its doors today in Union Gap.

The new Costco only took four months to build. It's 30 percent bigger than the old store and today customers say they noticed a difference.

The old costco was 126 thousand square feet and the company decided that wasn't big enough. The new store stands at 156 thousand square feet.

One new feature for the store is a hearing aid center to go along with other staples of the store like the tire center and food court.

The new warehouse will employ 235 people; that's 20 more than the old facility and managers also say it's a better work environment.

Customers say they're excited about the new store and what it can do for the local economy. The old costco will be turned into a Cabellas store.
