737 Jet Lands in Yakima

YAKIMA, Wash - Here's something you don't see in yakima very often,  a 737 jet at the airport.

A delta plane was on it's way to Seattle Wednesday.  Other planes were circling Sea-Tac airport  because thick fog was making it hard to land.  The 737 had to make a landing in Yakima because it was low on fuel.

Once refueled, crews had trouble getting the plane's engines to start again.  The passengers had to wait several hours inside the airport not knowing what was next.

"I don't know how long they are going to be here but i suspect the plane will be here for days," says Sam Clearman, who was on the flight that originated from Atlanta, Georgia.

A group of passengers didn't know each other until they landed in Yakima.  They were all going to split a car rental cost and drive over to Seattle.

But before they got out the door, all the passengers were asked to come back on to the plane because the problem was fixed.  The flight took off without any problems
