Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash - Yakima police have arrested a man who was carrying a sawed-off shotgun and wearing a kevlar vest.

Police say an officer pulled suspect's pickup truck over after he commited a traffic infraction on Nob Hill Boulevard and 24th Avenue after 7 O'clock Thursday night..  When the officer approached the truck a gun could be seen in the suspect's coat.  The suspect was not cooperating and that is when the officer called for backup.  Over a dozen police cars came to the scene and helped make the arrest.

Two shotgun shells were seen laying in the street where the suspect was being searched.  Police will be investigating why the suspect had the gun and was wearing a kevlar vest.
