BENTON COUNTY, Wash. - Normally when you hear of a burn ban you think of unclean air and hazy sky's. But the burn ban happening right now in Benton county is for a different reason.
The Benton Clean Air Authority says they're relocating their offices from Columbia Point Drive in Richland to South Clodfelter Road in Kennewick.
And due to the transfer of phone and computer lines and the interruption of phone service, they're implementing a ban on burning for the next week.
The ban will apply to all outdoor burning, with the exception of wind-blown tumbleweeds, recreational fires and incidental agricultural burning.
We're told the ban should be taken off on November 8th.
