KELSO, Wash. (AP) - Jurors began deliberating the vehicular homicide case against Frederick Russell Monday afternoon.
Russell is charged with causing a crash that killed three Washington State University students six years ago on the Moscow-Pullman Highway.
Prosecutors and Russell's Defense Attorney concluded their closing arguments, and the case was given to the jury early Monday afternoon.
The crash injured three other WSU students.
Russell fled the country and was caught two years ago in Ireland.
Prosecutors say Russell was drunk and speeding.
Defense lawyers dispute alcohol test results and details of the crash investigation.
The case was moved from Colfax to Kelso because of news coverage about the case.
