Kennewick -- There is hope for those who cannot afford Thanksgiving dinner, and now there is a way for busy families to give without going too far out of their way.
Yoke's supermarkets in the Tri-Cities are making turkeys, stuffing, cranberry sauce and other holiday foods available, all in one bag. Those who want to give can buy the bag at the counter, then put it in a nearby donation bin as they head out the door.
The donation then goes to Second Harvest for distribution to the poor. 500 meals are expected to be sold at Yoke's Tri-Cities stores this year.
It's the second year for Yokes, and what's being called the Turkey Derby.
