KENNEWICK, Wash. - A Kennewick woman was honored Monday night for the community service she has provided the people of the Tri-Cities.
The Kennewick Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution praised the work of Linda Bauer at the Kennewick Library on Union Street.
She has worked for Habitat for Humanity for six years and a number of other organizations.
She also traveled to the south to help with Hurricane clean up.
Bauer said, "It's a real honor and I'm thinking why me, cause there are so many people that do so much in our community. I just really happy and quite honored to be chosen."
Bauer says she's delighted to be chosen and encouraged people from the community to get involved with Habitat for Humanity.
The National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution works to preserve history, provide the community with education and promote patriotism.
