A West Richland Man Escapes A Falling Tree Branch.
West Richland, Wash. - A West Richland man escapes a falling tree branch after high winds passed through yesterday.
Paul Galbraith says he was laying down on his bed when he heard a lot of wind and decided to get up and see if everything was o.k. Ten seconds later, a 50 foot long tree branch fell on his roof and one branch landed inches away from where he was laying. He says if he hadn't moved he very well could be dead today.
"I was laying right there watching a football game. I got up and walked in to see what was going on. It seemed like the wind slammed down or something and I just got up and walked down the hallway and I was laying there 10 seconds before that branch came through there."
