Rick Adams graduated fromWSU in 1975, now he has a son and daughter that go to Wazzu.
Rick has just received an honor from his alma mater that a lot of Cougar Dads would like, "WSU Dad of the Year".
Rick was chosen out of eight finalist after his son wrote an essay nominating his dad.
Rick was presented the plaque at last weeks Cougar football game against Stanford, which he wants to remind everyone that the cougars won and he was given the royal treatment. He watched the game from the presidents suite at Martin Stadium.
Rick says it was a really exciting thing he was totally surprised and just to be recognized as Coug Dad of the Year was just something special for an old Coug like himself, he says it was a dream come true.
After teaching agriculture classes for 33 years in Prosser and influencing as many students as he could to go to WSU Rick will be retiring after this year and says he looks forward to spending more time in Pullman and going to the games.
