"Fill the Rig" for the KNDU Food Drive

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- We're only two weeks away from the KNDU Family Food Drive. One local couple is asking you to help them fill a truck full of food for needy families.

Scott and Jessica Meyer of Meyer's Auto Tech hope to to fill a truck bed full and deliver it to our parking lot for the KNDU Family Food Drive. "Fill the Rig" is a commitment to the community that Scott and Jessica have made for years.

Scott and Jessica Meyers say they are just glad they have found a way to help out.

Jessica says, "God really blessed us with the business and allowed us to give back to the community and that makes us feel good."

Last year, the couple says they were amazed how many people played a part in the food drive and that it is always good to see the community come together.

Scott says, "Just a constant flow of cars, our customers and other people were very generous and people just kept coming by to drop off food."

After completely filling their truck last year, Scott and Jessica hope they are able to do the same thing again. Anyone who donates at Meyer's gets a $10 gift certificate for any service at the shop and they say every little bit helps.

Jessica says, "When you go shopping for Thanksgiving, just bring a couple cans by Meyer's Auto Tech."

Scott says, "Last year people stepped up big and I expect and I hope that'll happen again."
