SUNNYSIDE, Wash.- Two burglaries in Sunnyside over the weekend, and both suspects have been tracked down and arrested.
The first involved a 37-year-old Sunnyside man who broke into a home early Saturday morning. The robbery happened on the 1700 block of Holladay road near Sunnyside. Residents woke up to noises and found an intruder in their bathroom. The man escaped and drove off in his pickup truck. Around 8 p.m. Saturday night the man was pulled over in Mabton for a traffic violation. His license plate number matched the vehicle police were looking for. The man was faces two counts of residential burglary charges.
The second burglary happened early Saturday morning around 2:30 a.m. Police say 28-year-old Antonio Andrade Junior broke into Colortyme Rentals at 2685 East Lincoln Avenue in Sunnyside. Police say he broke out windows and stole video games and flat screen tv's. Andrade is a convicted felon from a previous burglary earlier this year. He's been booked into Yakima County Jail facing second degree burglary charges.
