Sunday Night Shooting In Toppenish Suspect Still at Large

TOPPENISH, Wash. - Toppenish Police are continuing to investigate a shooting where one man was shot and the shooter is still at large.

It happened just after nine o'clock Sunday night outside the victims home on the 200 block of West 3rd Avenue, in Toppenish.

Police found the victim with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.  They aren't releasing the victims name, but say he is a 24 year old Native American.

The victim told police he had just parked his car on the side of the road when a car drove up and fired two shots with a long barreled firearm.  Police say the car then drove off.

The shooter was described to be either a Native American or Hispanic male with a shaved head. The victim believes he was driving a light colored car, possibly a chevy malibu.
