Local Tri-City Charities Gearing up for Thanksgiving Dinner.

KENNEWICK, Wash. -  Local churches and charity groups preparing for Thanksgiving are gearing up for a large crowd this holiday.

The Union Gospel Mission in Pasco is stocking up to feed the hungry.  Today, they provided turkeys and boxes of food to 260 families.  Jerry Jones, Food Services Director, says more food is being prepared to feed hundreds more this thanksgiving.

"We get by, we get by. Sometimes we get a little lean, but the donations are always coming in , so we usually have plenty to serve."

The Union Gospel Mission is on 2nd Avenue and Lewis Street in Pasco.  They'll be serving turkey dinner Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.
