YAKIMA, Wash. -- West Valley Firefighters are investigating a suspicious fire at an abandoned house.
It happened around 3 a.m. at 706 Hennessy Road in West Valley. The house had not been occupied for many years and did not even have a power source, but the property owner says it has historic value because the Hennessy family built it and lived there in the early 1900s.
Crews had to be cautious because the house contained chemicals that are used on the surrounding orchards. Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to the crops.
