Clear and cool temperatures expected for holiday travelers
YAKIMA, Wash -- Across the country, millions of people are packing up and hitting the road, in one of the busiest travel weeks in years.
According to AAA, this Thanksgiving will be the busiest since 9-11, with more than 30-million people expected to travel by motor vehicle.
The big question is, what will the roads be like?
The National Weather Service says it should be clear and cool for the rest of the week. Forecasters aren't predicting any snow or rain until the weekend. Roads and area mountain passes should be much better than previous years.
But if its not weather, it something else. This year its gas prices.
The average price per gallon in Yakima is $3.26 - up $.65 from a year ago.
