KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Kennewick KinderCare Learning Center on Huntington Street in Kennewick is shutting its doors.
KinderCare Learning Centers Spokesperson Kelley Egre said they have had problems finding good staff for the Kennewick Center.
She said this has been a difficult decision but that they were not able to maintain a quality center.
Egre also said there were problems with worker attendance.
The closure will affects 70 children and 15 employees.
Tuesday night a number of parents expressed concern about where they were going to send their kids.
Tara Bowlin said, "It's disappointing cause its so close to home. Gas prices being so high they're offering to send them to the other places, but you can't afford to go all the way to Richland."
Esther Brotherton said, "I've seen directors come and go throughout the year, but they haven't really shared any of the problems with the parents that I'm aware of."
Egre confirmed that there has been a lot of turn over at the Kennewick center.
The doors will shut November 30th.
