Hanford's Quick signs with Montana, Pasco's Gilmore to Seattle U
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Hanford's Brittany Quick has dominated High School volleyball matches the last few years, and now she's taking her game to the college level. Tuesday the 6-2 senior signed with the University of Montana. She had verbally committed there prior to this season. Quick was CBL MVP, all-state, and recently helped lead the Falcons to their first ever state championship. Quick had lots of reasons to choose montana.
"I have a lot of family in Montana," she said. I have family in Helena and Great Falls. I can see a lot of friends and family. I'm not a big fan of huge cities and I just think it was a perfect fit ."
She added she liked the coaches and players on the team.
Pasco's Gavin Gilmore signed with Seattle University. Last year as a junior, the 6-8 Gilmore scored thirteen points a game, and had seven rebounds a contest. Right now, the Redhawks are a Division Two school, but Seattle-U will move up to Division One in two years.
