BENTON CITY, Wash. - Police are trying to figure out who has been breaking into businesses in Benton City for the past five months.
Benton County Authorities said there has been a string of burglaries on Ninth Street in Downtown Benton City.
Crime Stoppers is now getting involved and offering up to 1,000 dollars for information leading to an arrest.
A salon, sewing shop and a grocery store were some of the businesses hit.
The owner of a grocery store, Norma Ochoa is upset. Her store is located at 610 9th Street. She said in July a thief broke in and stole phone cards, money and blankets from her shop.
Ochoa said she does not feel safe. She said, "I'm sad and it makes me mad. We try to work so hard. This is a little business .... and I just hope that police are able to do something."
All the burglaries have happened between July and November mostly along Ninth Street. Authorities said some locations have been broken into more than once during this time period.
