PASCO, Wash. -- Foggy skies greeted some travellers coming into the Tri-Cities Airport on Wednesday. And the morning fog is expected to stick around for at least a couple days.
People many times look to fly to avoid dangerous winter conditions on the roads, but Wednesday, and possibly for the next couple days, it is the weather in the air that could cause problems.
Wednesday, two early morning incoming flights at the Tri-Cities Airport were delayed because of freezing fog. Both delays were for less than an hour but as our own Tim Adams says you could see the same freezing fog until Friday.
Tri-Cities Airport officials say to just be prepared to wait for flights.
If you are one of the record number of people driving to your Thanksgiving dinner, remember, Kennewick Police say use your low beams if driving through fog and allow extra distance between yours and other cars.
Also, watch out on the road as freezing fog can cause black ice.
The common theme, whether you are travelling by plane or by car, is to be patient.
