PASCO, Wash.--At Fiesta Foods, customers and store employees have been working together to battle hunger. Posted at each register is a display, telling people how they can donate to the KNDU Family Food Drive.
"This year we made a goal to hit 1,000 and we've had some in-store incentives to help people want to do that, and our people have stepped up and met the challenge and we've exceeded our goals by 240 bags," says Manager Lee Perez."
Customer Service Representative, Sandra Batres , sold the most bags. She knows simply asking someone to donate can make the holidays for those less fortunate a little bit brighter.
"The same customers that we'll get in they'll come and give a donation for five dollars every time they came so, it was really, really great for me," mentions Batres.
Also great for those who recognize the benefits of giving. Kathy Aubrey says we can all make a difference this holiday season.
"This is a good time to be giving thanks for everything for anybody and everybody and I just feel that this is a very important thing to feed our hungry," says Aubrey.
