Associated Press - November 21, 2007 7:15 PM ET

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - The state Department of Health reports the credential of a woman counselor in Pierce County has been revoked for 20 years for having sex with a 10-year-old boy.

The department suspended 49-year-old Jennifer L. Rice on Oct. 9. She was a teacher at McKinley Elementary School in Pierce County.

The department says Rice admitted to having sex with the boy on at least five occasions and taking the boy on a road trip without his parents' permission.

The department says Rice failed to respond to the charges.

She has been criminally charged with six counts of first-degree child rape, four counts of first-degree child molestation and two counts of third-degree child rape.
