TRI-CITIES, Wash.--Washington State troopers stopped 30 drivers for speeding in just two-and-a-half hours this morning.
Their emphasis patrol focused solely on southbound 395 at King City in Pasco.
Troopers say it didn't take long for people to drive well over the posted 60 miles per hour speed limit.
We're seeing vehicles 20 miles an hour over the speed limit and even higher already and we've only been here for about 30 minutes," says Trooper Chris Thorson
Troopers remind you state law defines 30 miles per hour over any limit is considered Reckless driving. This means you can be arrested.
Traffic fines can cost anywhere from $113.00 dollars and exceed $440.00 dollars.
