Wapato man still missing two weeks after he disappeared
TOPPENISH, Wash -- Search and Rescue officers from the Yakima Sheriff's Office spent most of Saturday searching for the body of a missing Wapato man, this time with specially trained cadaver sniffing dogs, but the results remained the same.
Michael Hansen, disappeared after a family gathering over two weeks ago.
His truck was found in the Yakima River Tuesday.
YSO divers searched the river, but were unable to find any traces of Hansen.
Today, two dogs trained to find small traces of blood or clothes searched the banks of the Yakima River. Once again, with no luck.
Investigators and his family doubt he is still alive. However, his sister and other family members have spent almost every day searching the area trying to find his body, in hopes of adding a sense of closure to the tragedy.
