Construction has started at Edgar Brown Memorial Stadium to expand
The home of numerous athletic events will be closed until February 2008, Edgar Brown Memorial Stadium is under construction.
John Morgan, Planning Principal says, due to the fact that we will be opening a new school in 2009 we wanted to continue our plans to improve, site improvements at Edgar Brown Stadium.
The new and improved stadium will be the site for both Pasco High and Chieawana's main sporting events. With the addition of 1,200 more bleacher seats, a bigger field house and new concessions area there will be plenty of room for all of the events.
Morgan says, it is the best high school stadium in the state and our goal in this community is to keep it that way not only for our high schools but for our community events and all that we bring in.
While under construction the stadium will open for the major sporting events Edgar Brown hosts like spring sports events and the Pasco Invite track meet.
The Pasco School District is thankful that the community saw the importance of these improvements and passed the bond to make them possible
Morgan says, it's exciting for our community not only the growth that is taking place in our community but our community has responded to the growth.
While Edgar Brown Stadium is under construction it will be completely closed to the public. No one will be allowed in the stadium or on the track so for you joggers you will need to find another track to run around.
