Wenatchee Pondering What to do About Seniors in Limbo Over WASL
WENATCHEE, Wash. - Thanks to the WASL, bout 100 Wenatchee seniors won't know until August if they've earned a diploma. That poses a dilemma for the Wenatchee School Board concerning the graduation ceremony.
The school board will vote next month on a proposal to allow seniors who are in graduation limbo to participate in the ceremony.
Some students won't know the outcome of their various WASL alternatives until August, but state education officials leave the decision about graduation ceremonies up to individual school districts.
