A Pickup is T-boned by a Semi on Clearwater and 395 Early Friday Morning
KENNEWICK, Wash. - A semi truck t-boned a pickup truck early Friday morning just before 3 a.m. in the intersection off Clearwater Avenue and highway 395 in Kennewick.
The driver of the pickup said he ran a red light heading West on Clearwater Avenue. That's when the semi driver T-boned the 1999 Dodge Pick-up.
State Patrol Trooper Brad Neff says the semi driver was going under the speed limit, so the impact wasn't very severe. "It could have meant significant injury but due to the low impact speeds and good driving on the semi drivers part, there was no injury at all."
The semi and the truck slammed into the corner in front of Walgreens, knocking out a cross walking sign and a fire hydrant.
The traffic lights were out for 3 hours. DOT will have to reorder some parts and a new cross walking sign.
